CHALLENGE

Provide the Symbol community with an NFT marketplace that supports Symbol’s latest tech and fits its cultural preferences in an accelerated time frame.

SOLUTION

In order to meet the short timeline, build off of Open Sea’s open source code on GitHub. I conducted a Competitive Analysis to gather effective UX/UI patterns from existing platforms.

From here, I was able to build low-fi wireframes to explore the MVP feature set we would be providing in phase 1. I worked with our Visual Designer to find a look and feel that would appeal to our international and predominantly Japanese audience.

RESULTS

In a month, I was able to present initial concepts for the product in a Hi-Fi prototype for an internal presentation. The project was put on hold when priorities shifted to protocol improvements.
